Harold PEARSON

Harold Pearson, a Streatham, London man served during the First World War in India as a Sergeant with the 1/25th London Regiment during 1916-17, and in 1918 was transferred as a Private to the 4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, possibly for Home service. During 1918-19 he seems to have served with a dental unit in Mesopotamia. His brother Leonard H Pearson appears to have served in France with the 1/15th London Regiment (47th Division) during 1918-19.

Collection of 6 forms and other items relating to his service principally with the 1/25th London Regiment in India 1916-18 and payment of dependants' allowances, including a ms letter written whilst serving with an Army Dental unit in Mesopotamia 1919, regarding demobilisation. Also 2 items relating to his brother L H Pearson, 1/15th London Regiment (47th Division), including a ms letter dated March 1918 deprecating the idea of an enemy offensive. With the collection are 5 other miscellaneous items.
