On the formation of the Territorial Army of Forces on the 1st Aug 1908 the 26th Middlesex became the 25th County of London Cyclist Battalion, The London Regiment.

• Cycle vs. Balloon - 1902 - an interesting race between the 26th Middlesex and a balloon, won by the 26th, but also involving the death of a farm hand.
