Matthew Jack Page BROWN, known as Jack, was
born on the 14 June 1897 in Rowledge, Surrey. He was the son of
Matthew Brown, a stonemason, and Jane Page, a laundress.
The following below shows Jack as a RMP, Regimental Military
Policeman in the 1/25th Londons, which is identifiable by the
25th London battle badge on the helmets. His grandaughter says
that the family story was that served in Mesopotamia and was
involved with Sopwith Camel aircraft. It is possible that he
transferred or was attached to the RAF at some stage.
